I'm dropping you this note to let you know how much I love my 2 New Yorkers. Sophia is especially lovable, a real
attention seeker. She is still a bit too peppy for a relaxing (boring) ride for me, although I've never felt she might
unseat me. A wonderful 13 year old girl is begging to borrow her for the summer so I expect that will happen in the
spring. She is from a struggling dairy farm about 10 miles from me. My charitable contribution was to buy her
aged, toothless, safe horse as they couldn't afford to feed it - beet pulp and sr feed. Very high maintenence, but
good for my 6 yr old to learn on. After 5 years, I'm back riding again. Cloudy is my mount of choice. It took him
longer to acclimate than Sophie, and he'll never be as demanding of attention. Interesting that when I had an
energetic healing session done on him shortly after he arrived and the results showed "fear of abandonment", so
I've spent extra time reassuring him that he's here to stay.
I've sold 2 of the 3/4 Friesian geldings, with the possibility of the third going. Also, I let friends talk me into selling
them Molly, the spotted draft. With you taking the pony, my numbers remain the same even with the addition of this
spring's foal - 2nd filly in 17 years. I'm happy with my decision to quit the breeding program, dispersing the spendy
ones, and replacing them with safe rideable ones that are a joy to have around. THANKS for selling me my
favorites!!
