Carlys before pictures. Skinny, dull, rain rot, and needs a 'tune up' under saddle.
Didn't he turn out beautiful?!!!!!!
Carly with his new Mom in Alabama!
SEPTEMBER 2005
One year and 7 months later: Since May, I have had an instructor who
knows and has trained Arabians, and she has been very helpful in teaching
me how to communicate with Carly in a language that he can understand, as
well as training him in some areas that he needs "higher education" in. He
has remained he sweet, lovable guy he was from the first, but I think we have
really begun to bond to a deeper level of friendship. Getting him back in
shape as well as the training that he's needed is a lot of work, and he has
his own ideas about how "hard" he's having to work. He's basically quite
lazy!
Next Thursday (the 22nd), three other ladies from the barn and I will be
taking our horses to a three day dressage camp at the Chateau Elan in
Georgia. It will be the first time I have taken Carly away from the
barn, so I am curious (and a little nervous) about how he will be. He is very
much "a place for everything and it better be in it's place" kind of horse.
However, it will be a good experience for us both, and I am looking forward
to it (especially the massage that I have scheduled at the Spa!!).
Hope you're doing well. Winter is coming! Sure you don't want to move
south a little?
