Mable
Miss. Mable only stands 15.2h so if your looking for a smaller, easy going draft horse to trail
ride, here's your girl! She is a fleabitten grey with a full mane and tail.
Mable worked her whole life in the fields, on the farm and up the road. When her team mate
died, her previous owners got rid of her because they didn't have another one to match her.
Poor ol' girl was pretty lost at first, but now she is doing extremely well and completely
enjoying her new life style. She is a great ride, easy, slow and steady.  She mainly plods
along, every now and then she'll get to trotting, but it's not often! She's very bright eyed and
is happy to go out and about.  She rides great in an open bridle and snaffle bit, she is very
easy to steer and stop...heck, you could pack a lunch and eat it along the way! She trail
rides anywhere and is sure footed. She straight reins around, tacks up easily, stands to be
mounted, loads, ties, etc. Mable is a nice horse to enjoy the leisurely rides along the farm
and up the trail. Not much bothers her, she will go alone or with others just fine. She can sit
for any amount of time and you can saddle her up and go!
She is UTD on all shots, dewormings and has a 2010 coggins test. We are currently
teaching her to pick up her feet so you won't need stocks to trim her, shes doing pretty darn
good! She behaves in the barn, is not destructive, has no vices, respects the fence, is easy
to catch and gets along in the herd. She currently needs a bit more weight, she is gaining
nicely so it's just a matter of time....some nice pasture would do her a world of good!
