King
Finally...I'm here!!!
HERE IS YOUR CHANCE TO OWN A PART OF HORSE HISTORY!!!!
Heinz Ketchup, as we all know had the famous hitch of Percherons, of which traveled
all over the U.S. and Canada for exibitions, shows, parades, etc. They have been to our
very own NYS Fair several times and I can remember taking pictures and going into
the Heinz tent to meet the famous horses in person! In 2006 the decision was made to
retire the beloved hitch of black Percherons. I am SO PROUD to have at our farm and
PROUD to introduce.....KING! One of the eight Heinz Hitch horses!!!

I have a BEAUTIFUL story that was published in the Draft Horse Journal about the hitch
and the decision to retire them. It includes pictures, the history, and the amazing stories
of the Hitch. This is available to go with him.
King is accustomed to being treated like royalty and he will only be available to the right
home. He is a magnificent horse that only deserves the best! He is ready to enjoy life
and maybe go for a "Sunday ride or drive", he has put in his time and is now ready to
semi-retire with someone who wants to enjoy him. He is very gentle weather you're
riding or driving him- beginner safe in every way. He drives single, double, hitch (lead or
swing team), and since his retirement from the hitch he has been shown in the youth
cart classes and  4-H, he also RIDES INCREDIBLY! He is absolutley push button broke,
has been there- done that,  been hauled all over the U.S. and Canada so he's seen it
ALL! No worries here- this guy practically does it for you! King is very loveable, enjoys
every ounce of attention you can give him, and has gentle way about him while still
presenting that show ring flare and flash. He stands 17.1 and is black with a small star.
He has no vices, clips, ties, loads, easily picks up his feet, stands quietly for the farrier
and vet, and is in excellent shape.
We have ridden King in an open bridle both in the arena and on the trails, he has a
western jog to die for and a trot that the dressage people would LOVE!!! He is easy to
steer and stop in just a snaffle bit and will stand quietly to mount and dismount. This is
an AMAZING horse, all the way around!!!
He is available to an approved home that best suits him.
