Joy
Joy stands 16.1 hands, sorrel with 4 high white
stockings, blaze, a big paint spot on her belly
( pictured), and a full tail.  Very unique markings
with one of the best personalities you will find!
Call her from her pasture and she will come
right to the gate to greet you! Joy is perfect for
anyone to ride or drive, she is as honest as they
come! During the summer of 2008 the Amish
kids used her for daily farm work (field work,
spreading manure, driving, etc.), she is broke to
all farm machinery and will hitch anywhere you
put her, and she rides the best!! ( and yes she
WILL ride in an open bridle with a snaffle bit
with no fuss!) She is beginner friendly in every
way! A been there- done that kind of horse with
plenty of "pleasure" miles left in her. Joy has
excellent ground manners, quiet, gentle, patient,
easy to handle, comes up to you for attention,
ties, loads, likes grooming and tacks up quietly.
Joy is an excellent trail horse, great to have
around for enjoyment, she is what I would call "
ol' faithful " !!!
She stands to be mounted, great about the
mounting block and you can literally climb all
over her. Good on the road, through terrain,
good around dogs and farm animals, not
nervous or spooky, easy to steer and stop, slow
and careful gaits. Follows all cues and
commands (slowly of course!) W/T/halt/back
and she has a very comfortable jog.....one you
can sit to!!!  She will go out alone or with others,
acts the same no matter what. Joy is just a nice,
quiet, take it easy kind of horse- looking for a
person who just wants to relax and enjoy the
ride!
