Anyone who knows these horses- knows that they are rare and very unaffordable!Origonally imported for $30,000-
used mainly for fox hunting, hunter paces, jumping, etc. This guy had a MAJOR career in his prime. Now he is 'too
slow' to keep up with things and has been replaced- so here he is..... being offered to the right home to semi retire
and enjoy life!!! This is a very rare opportunity to get your hands on a horse like this!
SUPER trail horse (obviously because of his experience on the hunts), would be bundles of fun to take to a couple
open shows in the huntseat classes- he can still take a small jump, and the BIG BONUS is this guy can go english OR
western- he even neck reins!!!!!! He is a slow going guy, he prefers to walk and trot now- he will canter with a strong
rider, but he is perfectly content just going for leisurely rides......therefore thats what he should have- an owner that
wants a lovely horse to enjoy. This guys working days are over!!!!! Ready to go enjoy the trails and not have to keep
a daily 'work' schedule! Devon is a joy to ride, very easy, QUIET, safe, and fun. He acts the same wether you ride him
every day or once a month, he never has to be 'lunged down' before a ride. Fantastic both on the ground and under
saddle, very lovable with excellent manners. He is a gentle giant!! Measured at 17.1h, beautiful bay color, and has a
gorgeous long, thick tail. Excellent in the barn and pasture, great for anyone to ride/ handle, no vices, ties, loads,
clips, etc. He still has some spring in his step and sparkle in his eyes.....he's not ready to hang up the bridle......just
ready to enjoy life!!!
UPDATE 1/21/09:He is currently eating senior feed, beet pulp and hay. He is gaining weight nicely- not a rack of
bones anymore!!! Still lean- but well on his way! He would probably thrive this summer is someone had lush green
pastures for him???
Reasonable offers will be considered
on this lovely gelding! A GOOD and
PERMANIENT home is more important
than top dollar!

He might be huge, but he is as quiet
and patient as can be with the little
ones!! He is truly worth his weight in
gold!
