Contessa
Bay TB mare, stands 15 hands. Lip tattoo hard to read. Was raced as a youngster then
re- trained for huntseat and jumping. She spent her previous years in a show barn lesson
program for novice, intermediate and advanced riders. Besides doing daily lessons she
was also hauled, shown and had a few foals. She is suitable for trail trials, been on hunter
paces and even a couple fox hunts! Contessa also has plenty of regular trail miles, she
has a nice one hand neckrein, and she direct reins nicely, you can 'bump' the bit and she
will set her head for show. She has a nice collected jog, a smooth trot and an easy, comfy
canter. Although she has some age on her she is still very full of life- If I didn't tell you she
was 22 you would think she was 10!!
Contessa has very gentle ground manners with a sweet and loveable personality. She is
easy to tack, ties, loads, is easy to catch, and she loves attention. She has no known
issues or vices. There are still plenty of great years ahead for this lovely lady.... Trail,
show, pleasure, etc.....you name it- I'm sure she can still do it!
Best suited for someone that knows how to ride an english horse, she still has a little pep
to her (easily controlled) and she willingly takes her cues. Because of this a beginner
might be intimidated while riding her. She is a nice horse and has spent several years in
a program teaching many people. It's time for her to have a one- on - one owner to enjoy!
