Clyde
Very, very sweet, young Registered Clydesdale gelding. At 4 years old he has a whole life in
front of him and is now ready to start in his training. Clyde will make a beautiful ride for those
of you that love the big guys! He has a face you cant resist, loud color and has plenty of
feathers. His temperament is quiet and willing and he has plenty of common sense. This guy
is not a hot head, nor is he a hitch prospect - He is best suited for riding as he doesn't have
much "snap", he is a pleasure type mover. He is very, very smart and loves every minute of
attention. Clyde respects the fence, is easy to catch, gets along great with others and
behaves in a box stall (not destructive). He loads and ships well, ties, has good manners and
no vices. This guy is very easy to fall in love with! He comes from superior bloodlines, many
imported. Many of his siblings are well known at world shows.
My sweet Clyde fell victim at an early age to the cruelty of man. Clyde arrived here near
death due to starvation and neglect. He was so weak and sick he was unable to stand on his
own, a sling and stall arrangements were made as he fought to survive. My whole heart (and
checkbook haha) went into this guy, I promised him that if he lived he would never suffer
again. I will not to sell him to drive or work due to being cow hocked along with having
stringhalt in the hind end. The "pulling" would cut his work ability in half and this guy
deserves to go in a direction that best suits HIS needs. This is drastically reflected in his
price. His stringhalt is easily managed through his diet. A riding career would be best suited
for his temperament and movement, I would like to see him go for a light use, trail or family
type home :) He has the most thankful, kind way about him. Clyde will only go to an
approved home under an adoption contract.
