Buffy
This is a BIG, TOUGH mare with guts and willpower, she is all heart and will try anything.
REALLY, REALLY BROKE!!! I cannot say enough nice things about this horse.....just give me
a call and I will gab your ear off about how NICE she really is! She's the old foundation style
Percheron- short made with a LOT of body.....my favorite!!!
Jet black Percheron mare standing 16.1h, and weighing close to 2000 pounds. She has a very
kind eye with a loveable personality. Show her a treat and she will smile for you.....a really
cute trick of hers! Maybe thats why shes so fat.....
Buffy rides, drives and works. Previously used as a carriage horse, so she has a lot of road
miles. She is a 'been there done that' kind of horse, and is always happy to take care of her
rider. This mare rides the BEST- she is trained like a saddle horse! Trained in english or
western diciplines, is extremely comfortable to ride, and will follow all cues and commands.
Does fine on the trails, no fuss- no issues, goes where you tell her. Nice mover, soft in the
bridle, works off the leg, and really tries hard to please her rider, she gives 100% every time!
Push button to ride W/T- no canter on her yet (she's been a carriage horse)- so she is
currently in training to finish her out for the showring (W/T/C). She will trot out for english OR
give you the nicest jog for western, she is really trained to follow the riders signals. Gentle and
easy enough for the novice rider - but can 'step it up' for the professional. A wonderful all
around horse capeable of going in ANY direction you need her for. Buffy loads, ties, easily
picks up all 4 feet, no vices, no issues, easily handled by anyone, wonderful groundmanners,
very easy keeper, UTD on everything. Behaves fine in a box stall (not destructive), is
currently turned out in a mixed herd (can be a little bossy with other horses- but not obnoxious
or unruly- just loves to make mean faces), she respects the fence, and is very easy to catch.
She is ONLY available to a permanient home. Don't overlook this one- she's one in a million!

Below: February 2009, Buffy and 14yr old Erica enjoying a nice ride!
If we still have Buffy during show season...Erica is going to show her in the
Percheron undersaddle circuit!! Watch for them at the County Fairs!
This is her TREAT SMILE!!!! (she will smile for a treat and again at grain
time). Notice that she doesn't just 'flip the upper lip' she goes all out and
gives you the BIG smile!!!! This mare is so loveable with TONS of
personality!!!
Congratulations to Donna! You're
going to love her!! Keep in touch! She
will be missed!
